ISF 2026

Introduction to ISF 2026

Indian Surface Finishing 2026 (ISF 2026) is a premier exhibition and conference bringing together global experts in surface finishing, coating, and electroplating. Scheduled from February 18–20, 2026, at BIEC Bengaluru, the event highlights cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, and innovations shaping the future of surface finishing industry.

This event is organised by the Metal Finishers’ Association of India (MFAI) in association of Electro Chemical Society of India, Bengaluru.

ISF 2026 Schedule

There are no entry charges for all the above activities.

Also, glad to announce that the INTERFINISH World Congress 2028 will be held in INDIA.

Election to the Executive Council will be held on Friday, 20th February 2026 at ISF 2026 venue.

The Council will follow the process of election as per IUSF Charter no.5 and 6, and as per amendment in the council meeting held in November 2024 in Hong Kong.

INTERFINISH 2024

The 21^st Interfinish World Congress & Seminar

Dear IUSF members,

IUSF (International Union for Surface Finishing,) is a worldwide union of the societies and associations concerned with the science and technology of surface finishing. The IUSF member societies take turns to organize the World Congress, which is the worldwide meeting every 4 years for the surface finishing academia, engineers and the industry with the aim of sharing advancement of knowledge and education in the field of surface finishing and related subjects. It provides a common forum for Surface finishers industrialist, designers and professionals to meet and foster the advancement of surface engineering and effluent treatment.

Interfinish 2024 (21stWorld Congress) was hosted by Hong Kong Surface Finishing Society on 25-27 Nov 2024 in Hong Kong. A Conference was held on 25-26 Nov together with an exhibition visit being arranged on 27 Nov. This was the first face-to-face World Congress after COVID-19 pandemic. It was attended by representatives from China, Japan, South Korea, India, UK and Thailand. Industrial tour was organised to visit various industries in Schengen and other nearby parts of China. IUSF is grateful to HKSFS for organising such useful industrial visits for delegates.

Executive Council Meeting

Held on 26th November, 2024 during 21st World Congress , Hong Kong

Following Important points emerged during the meeting and unanimously accepted by all council members.

India will Preside over the IUSF for the period 2026-30 and Mr Madhav Singh was designated President elect of IUSF for this period.
One additional post of Vice- President has been added in the IUSF Charter representing the host country.
⁠Regional Interfinish 2025 will be held in Thailand.
22nd World Congress will be held in India, during 2028.
⁠23rd World Congress will be held in South Korea during 2032.

International initiatives are taken such as program of Training, Education and Certification for Surface Finishers.
Inter Country co-operation by way of exchange of new technologies.
Providing information regarding international standards and nomenclature for surface finishing.
Conducting and publication of research in the art and science of surface finishing.
